STRENGTH & CONDITIONING FOR BJJ/COMBAT ATHLETES

Train with a National Champion. Get stronger, more explosive, and harder to finish — without burning out on the mats.

The Problem

WHY MOST BJJ/COMBAT ATHLETES NEVER REACH THEIR PHYSICAL POTENTIAL

Most grapplers spend all their time on the mats and almost none building the physical attributes that make technique unstoppable. The result? You gas out in round three. Your opponent breaks your grips. You get outmuscled by someone with worse technique.

It's not a skill problem. It's a physical preparation problem.

The solution

BUILT FOR ATHLETES.
BY AN ATHLETE.

Josh Ashton isn't just a qualified coach — he's a BJJ purple belt who won nationals at purple belt level. He's competed, he's felt the gas out, and he knows what it takes to stay sharp in the fourth round of a tournament bracket. That experience is built into every program he writes.

EXPLOSIVE POWER

Structured training designed to enhance force production and speed

🫁

CONDITIONING

Energy system work built around real fight demands — not cardio for its own sake.

💪

GRIP ENDURANCE

Systematic grip and isometric work that mirrors live competition demands.

📅

COMPETITION PEAKING

Periodisation that peaks you for tournaments. No fried CNS before competition day.

Questions

Common Questions

I already train BJJ 4–5x per week. Will this add too much?

No — and this is exactly why you need a coach who understands the sport. Your S&C program is built around your mat schedule, not on top of it.

I'm not competing yet. Is this still for me?

Yes. The earlier you build your physical foundation, the bigger the advantage when your technique catches up.

Do I need a full gym setup?

Programs are adapted to your setup — commercial gym, home barbell, or somewhere in between. Confirmed when you apply.

I'm a white/blue belt. Is this too advanced?

Not at all. This is for any level — building the physical base early is the smartest move you can make.
